Nice! Buying an ad spot on John Chow’s site, so you can resell it at a higher price! Haha, this is awesome! good luck with the sale.

This is a prime example of internet real-estate flipping. You picked a prime piece of land and bought it at the asking price and turned around and flippedit for a phenomenal profit. I have a fixer upper plot on my blog if you are interested.

Now that’s the kind of marketing I like to see! Well done Ryan.
I call this the blogging hat trick: increased exposure from the ad, turning a profit on its’ sale and watching the blogosphere turn green with envy they didn’t think of it first in thousands of posts in the coming week.

Howdy,
Groovy idea. Even if you don’t flip the ad for a profit, the buzz alone in the blogosphere will probably be worth it!
Cheers.

Genius! Even if you don’t end up selling the ad, the traffic it should generate will be greater than simply placing an ad for your site. Genius!

Smart - good luck with the sale but as already mentioned I suppose it doesn’t matter either way.

It matters to me, Mike.
I really do want to sell this ad. But the traffic is a nice bonus.

[…]If somebody did purchase the ad spot in the next 10 days or so, not only will Ryan Stewart enjoy super easy profit but he gets free traffic to his website. And even if nobody actually buys the spot, the traffic that gets redirected to eleven21.com would worth more than the thousand bucks he paid for![…]

Pure genius!!!
I’m curious to see what happens at the end of the month in terms of profit!
The money from selling the ad (if that happens)
Extra ad revenue from more visitors
Keep us posted.
